The Aireox dual speed home purifier is a no bells and whistles air purifier. No digital display, no timers no sensors. It is cheaper because you just pay for the raw purifier. They have been around for at least 30 years and I have never seen them advertise. This is for those that want a powerful purifier but without any bells and whistles.
They are known for not having any plastic or anything that is bad for chemical senstive people.It is super quiet for its power. its a smaller one but it has close to 5 lbs of carbon in its filter. They potassium permanganate which is another thingthey are known for. This potassium filterign agent is supposed to be even more expensive than zeolite.
The reason it has such low poundage of carbon is because nearly half the filter is potassium.
This is only a carbon filter. For gasss and odors. This does not trap the micron particles likethe Hepa filters. Again, this is mainly for gasses and chemicals in the air.
Theire is no glues or anything used to make this purifier. They claim even thir power cords and wires don't leach a plastic smell. Even the motor in their purifier are sealed so the oil doesn't get warm and cause an oil smell. Many people complain about some smell that lasts for weeks when the first get it and on the cheaper ones it can always have a plastic odor.
It is pretty small. A little over a foot tall and 10 inch round. It like the size of a medium pizza so its pretty compact.
This is the greenest of the the carbon filters. It needs less electricity cuz it doesn't have to power through a Hepa filter. The carbon filters do need to be changed about every year or twice a year if its a really polluted area. But the cost of the filters kinda justifies it cuz the energy used is less than running a 75watt light bulb. It costs a lot cheaper to run this when we hooked it up to the Kill o watt meter.
If you just want a carbon purifier that works like the fancy bells and whislte ones but don't need all the gadgets, and you don't need to worry about much and easy to use, this might be the one.
