LOWER PURITY VS HIGHER CFM
CFM VS PHONEY CFM
CFM VS Phony CFM
The 3 jumps in air flow.
Each CFM boost requires a larger diameter fan, and more pitch of the fan blade if the motor can handle it. Some have 4 blades, others 3 blades, and some 5 blades. The more the pitch or angle of the blade, the more wattage it requires. The more the pitch the slower it will spin given the same power. Some people get their blades infused, especially the metal blades. But some get just the outside of their blades infused only on the wing tips. To have a higher CFM and use less electricity the motor must have a high efficiency. The latest purifier we have tested has a high end GE motor that is super expensive to put in and it uses less wattage and amperage and it still pushes 500 CFM. Comparable motors with this little amperage and wattage push much less air. The output horsepower is insane for this little power that goes into it.
Clash of titans. Phony CFM (bogus air flow numbers)
YOu can't tell unless you compare two with the same specs together. Learn how to find out if the air flow rates are exaggerated and which ones are false.
I di the test in my garage and even ran different ones with\out the filters in it. Just bare fan blowing. I didn't have to do a scientific experiment to see which ones blew harder
(do test without filter and show myself rating the fan air)
Note: dont confuse CFM with
Q: What does ACH stand for?
A: ACH stands for Air Changes per Hour. This indicates how frequently the air purifier filters or changes all of the air in a given space per hour. For example, an ACH rating of 6 means that all of the air in your room is thoroughly filtered six times per hour. We recommend an ACH of 5 or 6 for healthy indoor air. For individuals with allergies and asthma, an ACH rating of 6 or 8 is best.
