 #5 Being 100% sealed:
What happens when its 99% sealed
When their is no bypass around the HEPA filter,a purifier works at true Hepa ratings. I can easily test the Hepa to see if its sealed with a laser particl test. If it says zero then, its 100% sealed. I test every few months till I see a purifier fail. If they say that their purifier is100%sealed, I don't care. I wanna know if its still sealed later, not just the day I bought it. Remember, Hepa type filters is not the same as a hepa filter. Also, betther than hepa, if you hear them saying " better than hepa". Ask them if it is a genuine certified by a lab company Hepa filter. If they keep saying, its a higher merv or its at a higher merv and better than hepa.

Note: I do sell some of the models that are not 100% sealed that have high flow rates and will never say they are bad. Its just that they are oftrn sold at full price the same as the one that go down to 3 microns. EVeryone is like, "my air purifer collects so much dust and I have to vaccum it all the time. This is just the coarse dust, not the small micron stuff that is the most damaging to the body and lungs. Having super tight gaskets is the main thing to look for when tyring to get one that is 100% sealed.

Warning: the Hepa filter can be the best one with the right creases but if its lose and not fitted correctly or starts to get lose over time, air can leak.
#1
minimal out gassing.. opening up box andthe purifier smells like plastic.
This is the first thing that people initially complain aobut without even plugging it in yet and many people try to return it and they say that this is mormal and give it a few days and it will not smell. This is not acceptable to me.
#2Molds:
Molds grow in their purifier in humid places. Many of the top purifiers have no UV. Even the Oransi and PureAir doesnt have uv. (Oransi is adding UV to their new 2014 system by the way).n UV is the best way to distroy molds in the filter. I dont want to breed mold spores and have them reproduce and blow back into the air. Having a dehumidifier helps with molds too.

#3 Chemical sensitivities. The ones that I get most complaints about are the ones with the gels to lock in the seals. They can offgass and people that are sensitive can smell them. They do have a smell to them. Put my noise up to the purifier when its open I can definately smell it. The plastic ones usually have this. and are the ones that are imported from 3rd world countries usually. Tracs and Airpura are examples of models that don't off gas.
#4 Carbon
Carbon seems to have lost its activation. Some companies say that their carbon can last years and years. Know that they lose their activation. Some comapnies have 20 lbs of carbon but some have only 4 lbs. If the 4 lb carbon filters are changed more often but they stay active thewhole time, instead of a 20 lb carbon filter that lasts 3 years and has lost a lot of its electric charge by theend of the 3rd year. Also, 4 lbs of cabon can filter more than 10 lbs depending on how long since it was activated and the pH of the carbon and if it is "weighed down" and the micro pores have settled making it trap less toxins. Oransi has a v shaped system that generates more surface area with less carbon. I don't agree that more carbon is beter unless it fits my requirements for a high end purifier.

Comparison chart REMOVED:
Ever since I put the results of the videos on my comparison chart I have decided to take down all the results. I am not accusing anyone of anything but the purifiers I got were perfect. If the manufacture said it uses 80 watts, it used 80 watts. I they said it used this amount of dollars per day to run their machine on high, it did. But the problem is that there was so much varience from one to the other. One carbon filter would weigh 4 lbs and the other filter would weigh 4 and a half lbs. Its nice when the filter you get an extra pound of free carbon but the problem is tha the fan the fan isnt powerful enough to power through it and give anywhere close to the rate of air that comes out when no filters are in it. Also the Hepa filters varied so much just in one copany that the results I got that I put on my chart is not accurate as everything from the motors copper windings to the pitch of the blade varience. Medal fans each have a different pitch. I studied boat propellors. I even have a website just on boat propellors because the fan varience inspired me so much to figure out why some fans have problem and others don't. Brass fans which are super expensive would eliminate all the problems. To date no airpurifer has brass fans.

I want to also say why there are no videos on my site right now. I took them all down as there is so much varience that one person might get an air purifier and buy based on my machine that I personally tested. Just like the problem I bought an oven. If the recipe calls for 350 degrees and the oven actually goes to 355 it can ruin the recipe or if it cuts off at 345 their is varience. The pass or fail rate can be 5 degrees off and still be sold to the market. After talking to a company, they said that they test each motor before selling it in an airp urifer and out of a 50 motors there is always a few that when it should be 1/2 horse power it is really .43 horsepower. There are flaws and nothing is perfect in just about any industry.

Also some comanies opted out of my video demonstration and I don't have persimmon to post my reviews of their purifier. These are the same companies that would not answer certain questions like ,"is your purifier Hepa or not. They say, "its better than Hepa. That is BS. That answer is not good enough for me. But, for some reason, some of these companies that claim a high Merv rate and have the most expensive purifier have some proprietory technology and as agitated as I am that they won't answer my questions, I can't argue over the best results they give. I will say that teh best purifiers have a Merv of over 17 regardless if its a True Hepa. If it pass the particle test and another lets out 500 particles, I can't deny the fact their purifier is good, especially those that have super high CFM rates. I test them every so often and they seem to pass the models that are 17 and under Merv.

So, for the comparison chart, it is only fair to give an actual rating for the actual purifier being old. Once I get my store up, I will be willing to test a purifier, take it out of the box, test the decibel level, weigh the filters, etc. I have talked to the manufacture and they will still honor the warranty if I do this. If a purifier is bunk, I will send it back. I will even infuse the purifier although it takes about 36 hours to infuse each purifier if there aren't many customers from other companies ahead of my but I usually get first grabs because of my volume.

If you are interested in talking to someone that has compared different purifiers and to get an answer you might need to talk to two or 3 people to really get the full test information as different people I work with have tested different one, please email me first.  If it takes 3 hours to educate you thats cool too. I enjoy paying my employees to spend as many hours as they re willing to talk to people to spread the information on my website. If you need to talk to someone about air purifers or how upset you are that your neighbors smoke comes in your window, call to chat about that too. Make contact here.
