AUSTIN AIR
The Austin Air Healthmate HEPA has15 lbs of activated carbon/zeolite mix. Great for
odors. Permanent Drum lasts 5 years although needs to be vacuumed 2x a month.
IQ AIR
The IQ Air sets the bar as the best of the best components and engineering. Every test we did puts this one as number one in every category. Other I rate 99%, 98% but this comes in at 100% perfect. it does however cost more to get a perfect purifier.
AIRGLE
The Airgle based out of New York has a super high CFU of 530. Even though it is made in China, it is the one with all the awards and USA seals of approval.
It is one of the most powerful models at the most affordable price. If are ok with a little higher noise, you can't beat the value on this brand.
AIRPURA
The Airpura is known for their warm fold 10 pleat HEPA filter. They have the highest carbon of all portables in their size. The are green to run, low wattage. The are no chemicals to leach, felt gaskets instead of Gels. NO rubber. They have up to 560 CFU, the most powerful of all portables.
BLUEAIR
Uses pleated Polypropylene filters that are not actually Hepa but it does a great job for those that want silent operation. Bed Bath and Beyond is where you can see it locally and use your 20% off coupon.
ALLER AIR
One of the older compaines that has a good track record. Made of steel frames, affordable Hepa filters and they even go up to 25 lbs of carbon in their purifiers.
AIR PURIFIER YEAR END REVIEW
TRACS EZ AIR
The USA made TRACS pre-filters has 14 lbs of activated carbon and zeolite. Is the quietest I have tested. Powdercoated. No chem leaching. Mostly for allergy people. 100% sealed. Great for smaller rooms.
RABBIT AIR
These are Japanese and Korean designs with the latest bells and whistles including BLDC motors and sensor driven quiet/economical operation.
AIRWASHER
I have tried this but this is an entirely different type of air purifier. I really cannot compare it to the others. Its better to read reviews on other sites if you want more reviews on this one. I focus on Hepa and Carbon types but this is pretty popular I have to say. Use your BB&B 20% off coupon for this one.

Pure Air
The HPS 500 is the model we tested this is the new model we decided to carry. This meets every prerequiste for our Hepa and carbon requirements.
Thye do not use gel sealants and have 1 Horsepower motors and 500 CFU. This is the most powerful purifer with Airgle coming in second. This is now one of our top portable modesl of choice. Se my Air Purifier Page where this is featured.
EZ Air - Select Solid Wood Air Purifier
This is their 100% guaranteed sealed wooden Hepa filter. This is one of the strongest small portable air purifiers that has no off gassing. This is great for small rooms.
Oransi Erik
Ultra Air Purifier
This is the brnand known for the latest generation motors that only take 10% of the electricity and blows air at 19 decibels and the most Square feet of Hepa. No carbon, just a whole lot of Hepa. The most Hepa of all models.
Retail $1495
Oransi Erik Multi-Carbon Air Purifier
Made right here in the USA and is packed with only activated carbon, no Hepa, just carbon. This is a serious carbon filter for those that don't have dust problems but odors and chemical smells.
Retail $1395
Alen Air Purifier
In the range of $599 or less, they make the best purifiers in this price range. AirPurifiers.com is the biggest dealer I have found for Alen Air. For its price, I was impressed. Again, its the best I've compared in its price range.

Field Control Purifer
The Field Control Trio 1000P Portable is the model that most people ask for. This has a really high end HEPA filter. It also covers rooms that are up to 1000 square feet. It can handle heavy VOC's and get rid of smells much quicker than most models in this price range. It is quietier for the output it has too.
I would recommend this for those that really want a quiet air purifer. Not as powerful as AirPura but just a few steps down.
EnviroKlenz Purifier
This particular model can cover 750 square feet. I would say this is the quality in comparison to the Field Control model. This is a little quieter. They have a longer warranty at 5 years. This doesn't have a lot of fancy electronics and light up buttons. It is easier to use. This is one of the newer purifiers so I have less experience with this but so far I haven't had any returns.
Electrocorp Air Purifiers
The Electrocorp air purifers are as industrial and commercial as I hae found. These are the most expensive on the market and are for those looking for the highest output. You might need a 20 amp plug if using one of these. This has 40 pounds of activated carbon. Best way to put it, it's like an Airpura on steroids.

I've found the easiest way to conceptualize this product industry is by breaking it down into a tiered rating system.
About 70% of customers end up purchasing an air purifier from Tier 2 level. The rest choose a Tier 1 or Tier 3. Tier 2 is composed of companies using very confusing marketing for their brands. The reason is because 90% of those brands in this tier are actually “Re-brands” coming from those same 3 manufacturers in China. So these brands are almost identical to one another and so each company just makes up claims and marketing hype so they can appear different than their competition.
For this reason, I have divided up Tier 2 into two sub levels, A and B. The lower the tier the more drawbacks it has versus benefits. So, Tier 2B would have maybe a limited warranty for example versus a Brand from Tier 2A.
Rating System based off the following:
Filtration material, quality, Noise, EMF levels, electricity usage, How Clean the Construction (off gassing chemicals), plastic or steel construction, output of motor, ease of use, timers/sensors, air changes per hour, and customer Service. If you want specific information on each brand and how it rates on each of these categories please ask.
Tier 1:
A --AmairCare, AirPura, IQAir (These have the most output and highest quality)
B --BlueAir, AllerAir, Austin Air, Rabbit Air
Tier 2:
A --EnviroKlenz Purifier, Field Control
B --TRACS, Oransi, Alen Air
Tier 3:
(90% of air purifers are re-brands from same three manufacturers in China and most air purifers fall into this Tier)
NOTE: I tell people 98% of the health benefits of using an air purifier are not related to purification of dust and smoke.
I am of course happy to consult with you by phone, email, or text to help find the best brand and model for your unique needs. Please look to us as a one stop solution to figuring out how to choose the right air purifer without getting a headache in the process.
Please know that we always seek to have the best sale price out there.

Amaircare 3000V
This is the residential air purifier that I recommend the most in its price range. Their most expensive one is $895 for the upgraded version on the 3000V model. This purifier is super powerful. The quality of the Amaircare is tied based on my reviews with Airpura.
AIREOX
The Airox is one of the oldest companies in the air purifier market. They make the most minimalistic air purifer. Nothing fancy but just tons of carbon packed in their purifier.
We no longer promote IQ air as our best air purifier.
We have finished testing this new model and it is way better than any air purifier on our site.
We will be promoting this brand over all others.
We are not allowed to advertise its name and price but if you call in we can tell you about it. (manufacture will not let any dealer advertise prices under retail if we are advertising it.)
We review UVC Robots and Air purifiers.
We have reviewed and sell
